Author Biography

Natalie Farmer, Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

Natalie is an Academic Foundation Trainee working in Sheffield. She has been with the British Student Doctor Journal since 2017. She obtained her medical degree from Newcastle University and achieved a Distinction in her MSc in Reproductive and Developmental Medicine from the University of Sheffield. Her research, involving a menstrual symptoms questionnaire piloted in gynaecology outpatients, has been presented internationally. Natalie has previously completed an internship at the Student BMJ and has published work there. She also designed the ESC1001 Anatomy module for the Exercise Biomedicine Honours degree at Newcastle University. Her interests include scientific journalism and obstetrics and gynaecology. Natalie is passionate about students getting an opportunity to express themselves through the written word. In her spare time, she enjoys practising yoga, reading books and trying different types of tea.
